THANK GOD, I thought I'd be moidered for mentioning Fergie Ferg in the same sentence as Interpol! I toyed with this and an 'alternative' take on Maneater but this one out...it didn't take me long, I'm just crazy and bored like that!

THE SUNSHINE TABLOID: Interpol bite back with an uptempo take on Avril Lavigne's soulful, deep 'Girlfriend', at the time of this going to press Carlos D had been invited for supposed 'peace talks' at a press conference with the band only to find that they ambushed him with their diss song 'Bassist'.
The flamboyant former band member was said to be 'crushed' and or 'fuming'. We don't know, we make up a lot of stories...
