I'v always liked the moustache and I knew he'd grow one. His victorian cowboy look was perfect to go with it. the Nazi-chic one, is now obsolete.

Agreed...although the stache was first very hot, however I **love** a clean shaven Carlos. His face is very beautiful

With regard to the film, I've been checking out Daniel Ryan's MySpace and his website and although the film was shown in a handful of theatres in Chicago this past summer, I don't believe it has been released nationally. From what I heard, Carlos plays a drug dealer back in the 1920's or 1930's (that's what I heard and read from various sources).

On another topic...anyone notice that Carlosdengler.com has been down recently? It's not going to be back up till January. Anyone here know the deal with that one? I hope its due to recording Pol's #4. Just wondering...

effimera, you are so right! While I am not as "hot" on his looks as maybe Paul, I do agree he cuts a very nice silhouette. He seems almost "regal", in a way.

ok, so i don't really pay that much attention to carlos, but i was in the video store the other day and i saw a cover for the show deadwood. i know that everyone made fun of carlos for looing like one of the people in it, but i had no idea how much the same they were:

I didn't think there was such a thing as a bad Carlos pic, but ewwww! He looks so terrible in that particular picture. Is that a photoshop? That can't be Carlos.

The 'stache was looking a little thick there...hopefully it's after seeing that picture that he said to himself..."Ok, self, time to let go of the cowboy look. What's next...maybe...50s dad? Yes!"

the photo was taken at a fashion show back in september 2006.
It was the time when he was starting to show the world his new look. and he used to dye his hair and moustache black. Which gave him a very pale look, almost unhealthy.
And the lighting is not flattering at all...

Nah, I kinda don't seem that picture of Carlos is real. In fact, I'm not absolutely sure but let's have a look at his eyes in the pic. It's so not in the same colour. I'm confused either way. 'Cause that guy looks very alike Carlos, I mean the shape of face for instance.

I saw some of the pics taken from the 2006 Prada Show after typing my comment (I'm almost sure that was one of the pics taken from the event because I recognize the suit CD wore), and Carlos looked *really* adorable with the thick stache. The lighting was terrible indeed in that particular pic and it does make Carlos look like a 43 y/o instead of the very handsome 32 y/o man he was when that pic was originally taken.

(You see, even gorgeous people can take bad pictures )

the sartorialist pic is indeed extremely unfortunate, but i have to admit that, even if at the time i was UTTERLY digusted by it, looking back at pics from the same day/time - when he still dyed hair and stache black - i kinda like the way he looks. in some of those photos he was REALLY hot.
