OMG! How can you say that! Carlos was just so hot during Antics with the holster, fitted shirts and ties. YUM! He looked like a rock star and was so unique looking. He just shined on stage in my opinion.

I think we can all agree though that Carlos is still a very handsome man

Sorry dear. Goth Carlos was attractive, but that whole look is a bit weird (only in my opinion) and he's older now. He wouldn't be able to pull it off now. He will always look unique and shine on stage. Maybe not in the same way as before, but he's still gorgeous and amazing on stage.



He's always been handsome in my eyes. With every persona. I just prefer the Deadwood persona, along with the white streak/Sweeney Todd thing. Alot.
He may be in a funk, and that sweater/jacket needs to be burned. But he's still gorgeous Carlos.

I concur. Very true. But not to speculate there were some photos I've seen of him during the OLTA tour that Carlos looked a bit out of it. But I do agree. I was not into the old west thing going back last summer but I was still just unable to take my eyes off of him when I saw Interpol last summer The most stunning man I've ever seen.

you have no clue how hot carlos looked last night. that pic there doesnt do him justice. as soon as he walked on the stage i was like OMG. i didnt once look at any other side of the stage. he was hypnotizing. best i've seen him look in ages. almost smiling. moving a lot. when he'd go back to the amp he'd do this awkward and cute dance. i took LOTS of pics but im not sure how they came out cause it wasnt my usual camera and i might've messed things up a little. out of the 34343thousands i took, anyway, there's gotta be some that came out good. thing is, the lights scheme for this tour is crappy.

you know i was just prepared for the worse.
may i remember you i was so *lucky* to see the one night only LONG BEARDED carlos in florence last year, so i was just expecting him to look like a grandpa. then he walked out, glass of red wine in his hand, short hair, all dressed in black..... my heart skipped a beat. btw some of my diehard-daniel-fangirls friends concur with me: he was the best looking on that stage.

Mistress f, I know exactly what you mean. I was right in front of Carlos in Rio and until then I have never paied attention to him. But when I saw him in front of me, dancing and shaking his ass, smiling at us and looking so badass, I couldn't help, I felt the sudden urge of grabbing him.

I never thought this day would come, Angie. But to see Carlos live is an amazing experience. It totally changed my opinion about him. You know, when he stared at us (people right in front of him) and smiled, I couldn't help but look at my friend beside me and say "Carlos Dengler can have any girl in this world".


And I'm flattered that you're using a sentence of mine as a sig. I didn't really mean to make it rhyme. You know, "ass" and "badass". There was a moment during NARC (I think) that he turned his back to us and started shaking his ass. It was surreal. And, well, he is badass.

^ i hear you, hazey. seeing carlos live is the reason why i moved from casual interpol lover to obsessive message board poster! he has a great presence onstage - the hotness, the moves, it all looks so effortless, ah!!!

UGH IM SO ANGRY. i took like hundreds of pics of carlos, but most of them are crappy cause he never was in full light. but i've got tons of perfect pics of paul. its not fair. i dont even actually remember taking that many pics of mr banks.

i've got a few pics of daniel (ALL OF THEM HAS AN HILARIOUS O-FACE) but i think i'll have to work on them a little. i'll see what i can do. i was standing right in front of paul slightly towards carlos, so he was kinda far and always moving, the pics i took are all a bit blurry and shaky, but i remember having some that were fine

The live 'pol experience in general is the drug that keeps me coming back. I was fortunate enough to see them not too long after I discovered them (within the first 6 months, I'd say), and I've been a hopeless addict ever since.

I can't hardly to wait to see them, mistress f.

i'll join the carlos-live discussion with my first interpol encounter story.
it was back in 2002, their first european tour, and they were playing in this little club in rome. my friend was like oh you know this new band, interpol, is playing next week, shall we go? and i was like who are they? then the joy division comparison came out and that was an enough reason for me
so i arrive there, the place is packed and unbearable, everyone was sooo curios.... then they come up. i see nothing but this tall slim handsome man with the most gracious attitute ever and an hot bass sound. it was love at first sight and it never went away.

ok enough now or i'll get really lame

yeah, i think carlos can't pull off that holster goth thing anymore. no thirty-four year old man can. there has to be a happy medium between that and middle aged uncle though. the rest of the band seem to manage being in their thirties well enough. and by rest of the band i don't include paul.

Me neither.. although all this talk about Carlos going back to his 'goth roots' (ha), what with his hair colour, pointy sideburns, I thought I'd seen that jacket somewhere before..

Also, I've never thought he was attractive in the face (i kind of still don't), but what's attractive about Carlos is his posture. He's tall and he's got a really confident, sexy stance. I think he's super hot in live pictures!

The holster or armband won't ever make a comeback, I feel.

and his skin (in some light) doesn't look so hot - was he using arsenic like the elizabethans?

i've just realized i still hadnt seen like more than half of my photos
i must be really tired (not to mention hungover. we got so drunk in these two days. last night the guys from dEUS bought us a bit too many drinks, but that's another story...) and many other fiiiiine carlos pics came out.
i said they were ruined cause of poor light or lack of focus... but there are quite a few coming up

well... looks more like teen age skin problems...

ahaha thats for sure, he's always had bad skin, no matter how make up he'd put on, it clearly showed, even in videos (slow hands above all)
but i still love him. he makes imperfect looks perfect.

He has noticeable pock marks on his cheeks, probably from bad acne as a teenager.

i dont it doesnt seem like, but i swear he was smiling a LOT. i've got a couple pics in wich he's smiling but they're blurry you can barely see it.

So are they allowing cameras at their shows now or are you just very sneaky?

i dont it's up to them, but mainly to the laws and rules in every country. here in italy, you're supposedly not allowed to take pics with the flash on, but for example, the other night i was allowed to (but they've told others to shut it down... i dont really know)
the only think you're really not supposed to use is a professional camera, they're fine with the others, but it's not even always true cause sometimes you'll find a specific place or angry security that dont want you to take pictures anyway. i usually have a pass so im fine, but everyone seems pretty confused about what you can or cant do around here
