I love his glasses too, they looked really good with the long hair! They should sell them as merchandise, with a little Interpol logo on the sides or the corner of one of the lenses .

I always thought that the frames reflected Paul's love of 80s hip hop, as in RUN DMC:



the frames were really popular in the 80s, and of course the 80s have made such a huge comeback. Although few men have dared to rock those frames! I found some at a shop in Chicago and wanted to get them, but I had no money. Next time I went back, they were gone.

this is making me feel cool about my childhood. i was tormented for having granny glasses for the first 12 yrs of my life.

Do you still wear them now?

haha, no. thankfully, i've progressed to psuedo cool. contacts or what i call my weezer/retro black frames a la RL. don't think i ever got the confidence to pull off the granny glasses. paul does a lovely job of that.

I'll check if there available of eBay, would be great to get hold of some!!

Wonder if Paul will have any new glasses for the new album! haah
