Eeeeuh Werchter is shit?? The vibe stinks??
Have u ever been their?? Ive been going for 4 years now and it is one of the best festivils ive been to...
And just because Snoop Dog is going doesn't mean its crap, ever heard of diversity...
Interpol are going and thats all that matters

How old are you?
I've been there 4 times, and it only gets worse each year... Diversity is not an issue but when you keep bringing in Sean Paul, the Black Eyed Peas and for fuck's sake PINK, you know there is a problem in the festival...
I'm actually asking myself how the 15 years old will react to the MV who will probably play non stop during the 40 first minutes. They will probably scream 'the widoooooooow' during the whole set :(
Anyway, go to pukkelpop for REAL diversity and go to dour for the vibes!

still going on july 2 though...

Can watch concerts on their website. Click on Streaming
But i don't know if Interpol is broadcasted on the "streaming" session.

This mean that the "least popular" band between intepol and NIN (which are playing at the same time... thanks organisers for fucking my perfect day up with a VERY STUPID decision following MV's annullement) will probably be aired.
I'm actually gonna be there tomorrow, so this streaming thing does not concern me, but I'm kinda pissed anyway... Damn I wanted to see Trent and Twiggy :(
Anyway, comments on the boys' gig on sunday morning :)
Hope pleny of board members will be there!

but that's not the point!
i was at the concert in "l'atelier" in Luxembourg, on last monday. they exactly did the same set list today but without "encore" (i don't kow how to say : en français: des rappels). i was surprising that there is no "rappels" today because they have to play until 22.15 and they finish before even if the public was shouting... but no... nothing!

But Interpol was great and yes Paul, we Belgians are a wonderfull audience, maybe it got you thinking on playing some more gigs in Belgium? I can always hope.
I didn't see much of Carlos, I almost thought he went off to see NIN play
you never know... He was somewhere way in the back I guess, in the dark where I couldn't see him, such a shame.
Anyways, I had a great time, thanks largely to Interpol. All my mind is set on now is: I wanna see them again!

That's exactly what I thought... Although some friends and I saw Interpol 4 times in Belgium, we couldn't resist travelling in Europe and seeing them in France, Italy and Luxemburg (+ Ireland for some)!
The atmosphere was so amazing yesterday in Werchter that I also hope to see them again soon in Belgium!

They got a MASSIVE cheer after evil, must be the single of the year in flanders...
What the hell was going on with carlos? His bass playing was top notch (not ONE bum note, the bass sounded great) but why, why hide behinid his amp rack for almost all the gig? Was his 'not well being' that kept the band not playing the encore that was clearly scheduled?? (roadies re-tuning the guitars and drums just after PDA, lights not going back on right away...)
Really, does anybody have a setlist scan?
An interpol concert without obstacle 1... was quite sad :(

I stood in front only a few metres away from the guys and the atmosphere was unbelievable, before interpol started A few english guys were standing behind me and I started talking to them and they said they were the drummer ans basist from Spoon, I didn't know if they were just joking with me or if it was for real but they seemed to know the names of the roadies who did the soundcheck so :D
The show was really greate but what was up with carlos? he hide himself behind paul during whole the show and didn't even faced the audience, but i didn't care because paul and daniel and ofcourse sam were stealing the show,
unfortunetly they didn't played there encore :( here's the setlist:
Setlist:
Next Exit
Slow Hands
NARC
Say Hello to the Angels
Public Pervert
Not Even Jail
Leif Erikson
Evil
C'mere
Take You On A Cruise
P.D.A.
NYC (niet gespeeld)
Obstacle 1 (niet gespeeld)
Roland (niet gespeeld)
it was just unbelievable how everybody was yelling for more, nobody could believe it was already finished , they only performed about 45 min but it were the best 45 min of this year for me :) , so after we knew that the guys wouldn't play the encore , Me and my friends went to see the last 20 min of Nine inch nails and guess what?
We suddenly know why they didn't played their whole set, Sam wanted to see NIN :D

And the weird thing is I didn't saw Carlos at all. The camera was always on Paul, Daniel and Sam
btw for the performance; I don't think you can find the steam anywhere. If they’re going to show it, it'll probably be on the adsl live 'concert on demand'
But I doubt it all groups come on that. They do have the act of Bloc party.. they were pretty good.
