Paul looks so young with the short hair... It's a little like an 80s Bowie haircut. I'm terribly jealous that Roland is back. No Hands Away or Leif, though.

I totally disagree: I heart the Sweeny Todd streak and damn it! It's gone already! Wyatt Erp at least had over a year run and was just starting to lust over the new look too  Geesh, a revolving door of new looks. Also is it me or does it look like Carlos put a bit of weight on?

Anyways, so good to see our boys back in action! I was having major withdrawels yo ;)

(BTW, thank you so much for posting these pics!)

I think Paul's hair looks great! Anything is an improvement from the shaggy/oily pulled behind the ears look.

And the set list looks great too. I'm surprised they would close the show with 'Stella..' !
And I think NIIT is an excellent song, I'd be so sad if I went to a show and didn't hear it.

I was kind of into the streak, too, but this look is okay, hair-wise. It's definitely a toned-down version of Carlos. I'm not sure he's gained weight, though in his case it wouldn't necessarily have been unhealthy to do so! :) I think his clothes are baggier than we're used to, though.

Roland :o
Maybe someone told them about our thread on the song we'd most like to hear live. Roland kept being mentioned.

My guess is that they played slightly longer sets for what they considered to be really big shows... big venues, culminating gigs, that kind of thing. They haven't played in a few months, so maybe that has something to do with it as well?

possibly! so i guess maybe they played roland to make up for the short set? also am pleased that heinrich is now an optional extra. i do like that song, but i would far rather hear some other OLTA song live at this point.

Yeah... I never thought it was terribly great live, to be honest.

I have to agree. With the exception of Mammoth and PTTF, the other songs off OLTA significantly lack in intensity in comparison to Pol's earlier material. I would not even mind after this tour to just only hear Mammoth and Pioneer. I never heard Lighthouse live (one of my few faves off OLTA for the record), but the rest of the OLTA songs are a wash in the live department.

this is the first gig after a break...maybe we should consider it as a warm-up gig, hence a sightly shorter setlist.
I think the longest was 18 songs

Actually it was 19 songs, in Rio, last March.

Set List Rio

Add "Untitled" to that list, it was totally a surprise.

thatīs a good point. B)

we have been noticed diferent preferences along the tours.
people from the city "A" wants certain songs oposite than the others from "B","C","D"....if they want to play in countries they didnīt stay before the prefereces will diverge more!
why not make a votation per country?
example 1:
Interpol will go to France
side of OLTA songs what do you want to hear in France?
1) Roland
2) Stella
3) Take you on a cruise
4) slow hands
etc...

example 2
interpol will go to Mexico
side of pre-fixed previous album songs (secret or not) what do you want to hear from OLTA?
1)The Scale
2) H.M.
3)No I in threesome
4)All fired up
etc...
the result will be checked on the IMB.itīs 2008 almost everything is "real-time". :o
letīs make a test!!

ohh where can i post this message to not make a mass with this topic?

by the way i like his new haircut too, in three months his hair will turn better!
