And this is the house, the little tower is not part of the complex and it's a Unesco world heritage protected area.

I can't say if there's any place who could top Tuscany, but I'm sure some people will be proud to show their home towns here.
This is my humble home town, Fortaleza, in the northeast of Brazil:

I was joking with that comment, hence me pointing it out for that reason.

If anyone I wasn't expecting and didn't know turned up at my house, I'd tell them to "Fuck off". But thats where us Brits and Italians differ, I guess

Ah, Firenze! Such a nice place, didn't wanna leave. :) San Gimignano too, but hated the holes on the floor they called restrooms.
Hey, Ginger, how come you've lived in so many places? Are you an international spy?

I went to Fortaleza many years ago, but it was work and I didn't really have a chance to get to know the place. But I've seen a program (I think it was Globe Trekker) about the 10 best beaches in the world and Jericoacoara was there. Looked very pristine and I hope it still is. It's on my list of places to go. Problem is, the list is so long I'll need 2 lifetimes to go to all the places on the list.

I think she meant that that's how people see California. I must say, San Diego is way better than anywhere in Arizona. Great place.

I live in a village on the Hudson River Valley just north of New York City. The area is famous for giving birth to the Hudson River school of painting. It's designated as a National Heritage Area.
I live in a little old house, built in 1868.
