i attend school at cal state fullerton aka, cal state disneyland (this is due to its close proximity to disneyland) i just went to their first club meeting tonight and it was a cool experience since we introduced ourselves and there was a couple interpol fans there. the club is really based on indie music but it has the alternative in the club's name to attract more members. the club is a semester old and we have a few members. the club's objective is to meet new people that has the same musical taste and also to introduce/share new bands. it's also for supporting local indie bands in the area(los angeles and orange county). i just joined so i want this club to grow, can you guys give me any ideas on a effective way to recruit new members? is there a southern californian indie community that has a website? the club has a new project which is tp create a on campus indie magazine and we were brainstormin' what it should feature and contain. can you guys give me any input or ideas how to make the club more interesting and unique?

^^

Hi, My real name is Ally McCoist and I attend California state in San Bernadino. We actually have a thriving Interpol community, which works in perfect tandem with our spirtual beliefs.

First and foremost we on campus are avowed members of Family International. The Family International claims the Bible to be the inspired Word of God and sacred revelation. Our Group founder David Berg is regarded as the most important prophet of the end times. He is regarded as a prophet in that he passed on the message of God, not because he could predict the future. Our group believes David Berg's spiritual "mantle" passed to his wife, Karen Zerby, at his death. The officially published writings of both David Berg and Karen Zerby are regarded as part of the "Word of God." There is an understanding in the movement that not all Word is on the same level of significance but all Word is important to read and take heed to.

Our beliefs dovetail perfectly with Interpol because we believe that Paul Banks is a spirit helper. For the most part Interpol's lyrics are spiritual. A spirit helper includes angels, departed humans, and even famous fictional characters, e.g. Don Quixote, who are sent to give instruction and to fight in the spiritual warfare taking place in the spiritual dimension that Family members believe is coexistent with the physical world that surrounds them. These helpers are believed to relay divine messages through prophecy and are also engaged in combat with Satan and his demons. The Family believes that refering by name to spirit helpers when calling on their help, or demons when rebuking or cursing them, affords greater power to their prayers. As a result, the Family regularly publishes names of individual, as well groups or breeds of, spirit helpers and demons, linking them with their respective areas of power within the physical world.

So, if you'd like more help in setting up a chapter of Family Internatioal, which affords Paul Banks spirit help status then PM without due delay.
