I love his glasses too, they looked really good with the long hair! They should sell them as merchandise, with a little Interpol logo on the sides or the corner of one of the lenses :D .

I always thought that the frames reflected Paul's love of 80s hip hop, as in RUN DMC:

the frames were really popular in the 80s, and of course the 80s have made such a huge comeback. Although few men have dared to rock those frames! I found some at a shop in Chicago and wanted to get them, but I had no money. Next time I went back, they were gone.

^^they have been in LA a few times actually... they are so wonderful in concert.. a shame you havent seen them... and yep, he´s a copy cat of mr. Erl :D he.. no really, but I kinda like more Erlend with glasses than Paulie.. :P
