I would like to rant and rave about the fact that some of you have obnoxiously large signatures which tick me off.
Please change them.

Wasn't there like a max on signature sizes?!
Some threads seem to go to half a dozen pages with only a handful of posts because the sigs of those posting have the size of a fucking house.

(and yes I searched for the topic and yes I know I am supposed to PM mods before starting threads like this one but this does belong here)

Indeed. Please refer back to: http://www.interpoln...?showtopic=7631

If there is a particular user with a huge signature, please inform a moderator and it will be dealt with appropriately.

A height of approx. 150- 180 pixels including all text and images is advisable. Length can be less specified as long as it does not stretch the screen.

There are no real specifications for signatures in regards to size, so measurements around this mark may be allowed at discrection. However, offensive and/or copyright images may be removed.

I just noticed a few ridiculous ones. Are the mods going to do anything about them?

Indeed, this very thing just happened to me. I kept scrolling down, wondering why the fuck the postsn had nothing to do with the thread topic; lo and behold it was infact the largest signature I've ever seen.

Fan love is great, but in all honesty, 23303 5x5 pictures of Carlos are really unnecessary. <_<

Have the Mods sent him a PM yet? He'll probably get banned anyway.

Claas you are reading my mind which is really, truly scary. I almost posted this very same rant.....

I agree that it is really annoying and that limits would be nice.

To give people a frame of reference, use TheNew's current sig size as a guide, no? Or, if you're like me and think in inches instead of pixels, it's about one inch, right?

If someone has a stupidly large signature, PM a moderator, linking the signature and it will be dealt with.

It means posters are awaiting membership approval, and affects things such as personal photos and avatars. Such as:http://www.interpoln...?showtopic=8923 .

That would be good, and that is correct. To check you can left click on the image and see its properties in most browers, and also works on images which are not uploaded.

Indeed. You can select not to view signatures of other members in your personal profile, in My Controls.

Refraining from childish insults would be super, too.

Although we would like to cut down on oversized signatures, it would be advisable to choose the option not to view signatures, if it results in such a problematic response.

I'll take your word for it, a moment whilst I butcher it. Or at least take out all the spacing. ^_^

How I wish I could use that ignore signatures option. But as a mod, it sort of defeats the purpose. (You know...having to watch for obejectionable material and all.) I remember slowlychoking posting a limit amount, but I can't remember what it was and can't find the thread. I've also considered turning bbcode/html off in sigs. I mean, you already got avatars. How many images do you really need??

I never think about instituting limitations until someone mucks it up for others. Users shouldn't need so much supervision. I guess that's the trappings of a bands' success.

This is a reminder: http://www.interpoln...?showtopic=7631

The size of signatures (particularly images) is becoming an issue again, and the image tags in your signature may be deleted if the sizes are not appropriate. If images and content are no appropriate, your signature may be removed completely.
