Well you could go UK for festies...when you are older of course :)
I was allowed to my first when I was 16, so thats only a year away for you - so, in that time, give massive hints that you're definitely going next year and get a group of mates and people that you know together so you are safe and have no chance of getting lost/being alone, which is a parent's worst fear. And yeah, convince your mum you're responsible and not a kid anymore; get a job or summat.
I'm a good influence, honest!

Oh, and the best thing about the line-up additions - at this point, Blood Brothers are the opening band on Evening Session stage on Friday. Which just sounds...arwhwhah.

Completely forget i was going to this, my friend bought it up today and I was like, oh yeah, shit! This'll be my first festival proper, lineup looks ok. I'm mainly going for the Coopers, BRMC, Sleater Kinney, the Raveonettes and Arcade Fire, but the prospect of a chemically enhanced Iron Maiden show is tempting.. Pixies, Dinosaur Jr and the Stooges will be nice too. Try and check out some new bands, Be Your Own PET could be fun.

Has the "Special Guests TBA" before Elbow been announced yet? I could see Interpol filling that space, or are they comitted to other tour dates?

^ Them filling that slot has been on my mind all summer :D
I sincerely hope so. For some reason though I don't think it'll happen unfortunately.

Haha, how unfortunate. Then again, it doesn't really affect me as it is not the line-up that acts as the primary attraction. It's just nice to look at Interpol on the rumoured list on the website, hah!

Someone told me that the special guest has been announced as Goldie Lookin' Chain!
Why? Why?
Someone should tell them that the joke got old approximately 5 minutes after it began.

Ah yes, enjoy the B & B. I'm looking forward to the trip there seeing as a plane is involved. My friends are mostly shit scared of planes so that is obviously a delight for me. "Did one of the engines just turn off?", "I heard a funny noise, screaming from the cockpit!"
Bliss.

Getting the train up tomorrow night. Should be a larf. But we have to get our GCSE results right before we leave.

One of my friends said that the cash machines there charge loads to take out money, is that true? Otherwise i'll just take out some before I leave.

Now do we know who this "special guest" is? I've got pretty low expectations at the moment.
