Hi,
I'm saying this in the nicest way, I don't want any "fuck you's" for being helpful or anything... I'm doing this to make peoples lives a bit easier, if thats okay with you...
If you are new here and want to discuss a topic, and you aren't sure if the topic has been discussed as of yet, please look at your upper right hand corner, you will see the SEARCH button. There you can enter key words, go as far back as when the forum started, and find out if certain topics have been discussed or not. It makes it easier for you, and for the mods, who don't have to tell you to search, or delete your thread, and then you wonder why they deleted it.
There is a GENERAL DISCUSSION section, for all Interpolish commenting, opinions, and what not (not the dumb kind). This section is reserved for those certain type of threads (ex. The meaning of slowhands, or 'Rod Laver?')
The LIVE section that is for comments on live shows, who is going to live shows, information on live shows (ex. Irving Plaza Show Who Went?, ROLL CALL: San Fran 12/03)
The ARTICLES section carries all Articles and Interviews done with Interpol, and here you can put anything and everything that has to do with that. (ex. Princes of Darkness, NME Interview with Carlos D, Earlash Interview with Paul Banks)
The PHOTOS section has all the Photos taken of Interpol, whether it be with fans, live, in magazines, or the sort. You can also have fun over there, talk about how they look, where their hair parts, and how nice their shoes are looking.(ex. Paul Pictures, SAM THE MAN, Captions thread)
The TICKETS section is for the selling and trading of Interpol tickets. This one is pretty self explanatory.
The LINKS section carries multimedia, links to other message boards and so forth. If you have another link to add to this section, notify the mods by mode of PM which can be found by clicking on the mods name ( InterpolMOD1, TechMOD, TheNew, Justine, Kelly, etc) and then clicking on "Private Message".
There are the ANNOUNCEMENTS which is self explanatory.
The RANTS AND RAVES section, where you can talk about the problems you find in the forum, what you think can better it, and so on and so forth (ex. Whats wrong with my Avatar? and What Happened to the General Section?). All petty complaining should be left aside, and if you have a problem with a member of the forum, dont be so immature as to make it public, but maybe PM a mod with the same afformentioned mode and things will get worked out one way or another.
And the OTHER MUSIC and OTHER SHOWS where you can talk about other music THAT ISNT INTERPOL. which is a marvelous thing, i think.
EDIT: And now the newly reinstated GENERAL SECTION, whic you can talk about other subjects, news,politics, arts and leisure, thoughts, religion etc, anything that is NON INTERPOL!!!! HOW GREAT IS THAT!!?? (no offense to Interpol, but it can't always be about them). Please try to make subjects in this section intelligent, or at least somewhat comprehensible... let's keep this section for as long as we can... or just keep it.
Okay, that is all. If you read this through , this should make going through the forums alot easier. And I know people are probably thinking "This should be on the RANTS AND RAVES" section, but the truth is, that the majority of people who enter this forum, enter this section first, so I would like this to be something they look at, before they go on and go 'post crazy'. :blink:

Being that you just joined, stick around for awhile and see how annoyingly redundant the threads can become. If you think the members of this forum are too 'nerdy' or 'anal' to be Interpol fans, then I suggest you find yourself another forum. Check the "Links" section while you're here, there are a few others listed.

I'm actually quite relaxed, and believe it or not, my comment is alot nicer than what some of the other members may have posted. You shouldn't come onto this board and call members 'anal' or 'nerdy' when you've been registered all of 3 hours. This thread is just pointing out a key feature that desperately needs to be utilized.

Nope not a poorly designed site at all. The "Search" feature is easily found at the top of the board, but many people seem to start the same threads over and over when all they have to do is search. Seriously stick around and you'll see, it gets old rather quickly.
