Sam posted two new songs ("Lead To Measure" and "That Man") on his Empty Mansions myspace page and I have to say that I've been listening to "Lead To Measure" all day long. ^_^
and I should add that Sam's doing vocals.. :)

Ah, I had to switch my browser...
His voice is recognizable, but the sound is still very unexpected. I guess I just never imagined how he would sing, but now that I've heard him, he's really great! I think I'll follow Gehain's example and give "Led to Measure" a thorough listening to. lol
I actually haven't listened to Empty Mansions yet, but this is definitely incentive to change that. I can get into this sound.

Yeah I dig 'em both. Am I the only one who thought "no wonder Marilyn Manson asked him to drum?" Sam needs a Bandcamp or Soundcloud or something, even MySpace for music is getting a bit old...

His voice reminds me a bit of Jamie Hince's of the Kills.
Yep, that was the first thing it came to my mind when i heard is voice on 'Lead To Measure'. Also like Gehain said, i see The Fall influences on these tracks.
It's indeed a really good surprise and unexpected to hear Sam singing. I really dig the sound of this project, a more rocking sound with evil riffs backed by a awesome rhythm section. 'Lyra' and 'Lead To Measure' are my favorites so far.

Tomahawk's Duane Denison is also involved in Interpol drummer Sam Fogarino's side project Empty Houses, which also boasts Secret Machines keyboardist/Interpol sideman Brandon Curtis. The band has already recorded three tracks. "It's very sort of sleazy, dark art-rock," Denison says. "When [Fogarino] played me the demos, it reminded me of the first two Iggy Pop solo albums… but in a modern, updated [way]."

He sounds kinda like Marilyn Manson to me. Hmmm, I didn't recognize his voice. Is it me or does it sound like there's an effect on it?
Sam is so amazing but I'm just not sure about this. Sorry. Much respect for everyone's solo work though. I do like Lyra.
