No idea who the band is but they mention having been on Interpol's first tour and now their current tour (for OLTA). A few mentions of Harley the sound guy and a nice dig at Carlos the Complainer. Just ctrl F for "Interpol". There's also a nice short anecdote about Daniel: '...ally once had to make a snap decision between plugging daniel kessler's guitar lead back into the amp or grabbing him as he was falling off the stage. he chose to plug the guitar back in..."

I think he was a roadie for them, not in a band playing with them

It must be an exciting job to be a roadie, but somehow I just think it's such a stressful job and to be emotionally and verbally abused at times.

It's a lot of lugging around gear and wrapping cables. You're there 3 hours before the band arrive and 3 hours after they leave. You get bumped from flights and hotels and if you're lucky you get to spend a little bit of time enjoying whatever city or venue you're playing in. But you do get free alcohol and food which is lovely.

It's not. Even if you love the band, the excitement doesn't last for long.
