I just got this on my FB

Interpol
Movie Night at the IFC in NYC
We’re pleased to announce the New York City cinema debut of “I Touch A Red Button Man”, the David Lynch-directed short film set to our song “Lights” from our last album.
As part of IFC Center’s “Movie Night” series, April 5th will see a screening of the short film alongside the Interpol-selected David Lynch classic “Wild At Heart”.
The evening will feature an introduction and Q&A with Mr Sam Fogarino.
Tickets are available here: www.ifccenter.com
Look forward to seeing you there!

All the best,
Interpol

Sounds great. I wish I was in New York...

I should probably go to this. So, Wild at heart is a favorite of the band? That surprises me not.

It's actually my second favorite Lynch film after Blue Velvet. Plenty of sex and violence. Bizarre, scary and hallucinogenic. Europeans loved this movie because they found Lynch's concept of lowlife America to be quite amusing.
And yes, Wicked Games is in it ^_^
Willem Dafoe is scary as fuck in it.

So is anyone going to ask Sam about that Lights incident at Coachella? (just joking LOL)

The ticket info says the movie starts at 8pm on Thurs, April 5.

Honestly, it's not my favorite David Lynch film. I'd probably pick Blue Velvet.

I'm wondering the same sfive. I hope someone will go and share with us. Regarding the questions, that would be great to have things prepared yes so that we get to the point.

I just wonder if it's ok to ask Interpol-related questions even though the screening is about David Lynch's movie. It's just odd that Sam is doing a Q & A. Maybe ask why is he doing the Q & A?

"Why did Interpol select Wild at Heart?"

Same here. You're absolutely right. Is it appropriate? Is it the right time? I like your first question as to Sam doing the Q&A :D

"Are you fans of Twin Peaks?" "Do you like Angelo Badalamenti's score?"

Copy and pasted from http://www.ifccenter...-wild-at-heart/

We’re pleased to welcome Interpol drummer Sam Fogarino in person to present a new collaboration between the band and legendary filmmaker David Lynch, plus a screening of Lynch’s Cannes-winner WILD AT HEART. A new animated short created by Lynch to accompany Interpol’s song “Lights” from their self-titled fourth album, I TOUCH A RED BUTTON MAN is a hallucinatory black, white and red all over lo-fi extravaganza. Following the screening, Fogarino will discuss the band’s work and take questions from the audience.

To accompany the short, the band selected Lynch’s 1990 Cannes Film Festival winner WILD AT HEART, a personal favorite of all the band members. The feverish story of a star-crossed couple on the lam, Lynch’s delirious paean to l’amour fou (with nods to The Wizard of Oz) boasts Nicolas Cage and Laura Dern as lovers Sailor and Lula, with a supporting cast that includes Diane Ladd, Harry Dean Stanton, Crispin Glover, Isabella Rossellini and Willem Dafoe.

----
To the people going to this tomorrow night, have fun. Hope there will plenty of coffee there. I have a feeling Sam will probably have a cup of coffee.

Word up! Seriously, everytime I notice that PSQM was the most recent poster on the upload and share live performances board I'm usually like "Woo-hoo something good to download!"
