I had to look up what "fingerbang" means.
(Silence)
I can't believe he said that.

Yeah, but The Stone Roses was released in 1989. I'm confused as well.

It did shock me, but in a way that I laughed pretty damn loud. I guess I find unexpectedly vulgar things humorous...

But what I find more hilarious is that the magazine decided to highlight that quote with their picture. Nice representation.

This is why I love Paul, he just doesn't care what people think and I think it's kind of funny ;)

He was quoting Dave Chappelle. It's not a PB original. :forehead smack:
I, for one, think it's interesting he chose that particular word to describe a young man's empty pursuit of physical pleasure, thereby bestowing a deeper meaning to a seemingly meaningless "obscenity." Too darn smart, Paulie. ;)

I just reheard the South Park episode where the boys create a boy band and their hit is "Fingerbang bang you into your heart".

Honest. Love it.

Well, I'm shocked that they all wear what seems to be sneakers! May be I should revised my morality... Anyway, who is surprised that a teenager wants to bang girls? That's how it normally should be.

Beck is awesome, I don't know all of his albums but I love the ones I have: 'Odelay', 'Sea Change' and 'Modern Guilt'. I remember his show at Rock Werchter (I think it was in 2008), he played a lot of well-known songs and also his cover of Korgis 'Everybody's gotta learn sometime' and 'Lost Cause': that was goosebumps! Great show.

I like Sugar's 'Copper Blue'. But I don't know the EP Sam mentions...

'I Wanna Be Adored' is one of my all-time favorite songs, great intro.

Great read! I love their choices and the way they describe them. Sugar's Beaster EP is one of my all-time favs. In Bob Mould's autobiography, he said he had pretty much the same reaction as Sam when he first heard Loveless, and that it inspired the Beaster EP to some extent. I also love Paul's selection of the Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored is such a fantastic song. Check out the great cover of that song by Year of the Rabbit: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=b3jVa-e4-Ys . Wish Interpol would do a cover of this one....
