Why Is This Show Not On Anymore?!?!? Your Favorite, Probably unfairly Cancelled TV Shows

So this past week I watched both seasons of Party Down. It used to air on Starz Network but it is no longer in production. It did take a bit of a turn towards the end of season 2 but the whole time I kept thinking, "Why the fuck isn't this show on right now?"

To that list I'd like to add Everybody Hates Chris and Girlfriends but only if they bring back Jill Marie Jones aka Toni Childs. Oh and the original Law and Order.
What shows do you wish were still on and on what terms would you bring them back if any?

Obvious answer: Arrested Development. Mind you, in some ways a show getting canceled like that gives it the added lustre of having halted when it was still amazing. It never had a chance to go downhill. It's much too late, IMO, to consider bringing it back, though I'm looking forward to seeing what they'll do with a movie, assuming that really gets done.

I noticed a lot of recent shows got the axe.
The original Law & Order was good, but it wasn't the same without the late Jerry Orbach. There was another cop show that I liked, Homicide. I like how one of the characters (Detective Munch) from Homicide transferred to Law & Order SVU.
Other favorites: Alias, The X-Files, and Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Futurama even though it's a cartoon.

I can't think of any terms if the shows were brought back.

Yeah the end of this past season the networks went on a spree cancelling a buncha shows, quite a few of them I liked whenever I had a chance to catch them.

MUNCH is my boy! I think it was genius for him to be partnered up with Ice-T on SVU.

There are a lot of show that are no longer on, but I think ended well.
As for those that got cancelled too soon:

Arrested Development
Michael & Michael Have Issues
The Norm Show
The Job

That's about all I can muster right now.
I think if a show goes over 5 seasons, it's had its fair run.

I cured my "For fuck's sake why FRIENDS is finished" syndrom by a "Oh My God, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER is so funny" medication.
It works.

I'm already wishing that new show "Whitney" would cancel, and it hasn't even aired yet. The teasers of that show are so stupid.

Well, I suppose mine is fairly obvious, but canceled, I believe due to a change in the network staff and cost of the movies being shown, I think.

Southland I enjoyed that.

However, there has to be a more satisfying denouement to THE SOPRANOS.

Not cancelled but never actually made it on North American tv other than on Netflix, The IT Crowd. I LOVE the show. Hilarious sitcom. And it's already losing the wind in its sails in the UK. Sad.

They have one season left and then that's it.

Seconded - it's crazy to think how many awesome folks were in the cast or appeared on the show...i heard a rumor a while back about a movie but that might have been a figment of my imagination....

I'm a Chris Morris fan and I didn't expect to see him doing a whole series of a sitcom. When he left after one series I wasn't sure they would be able to keep me interested but I stuck with it and I'm glad I did. It's been the best UK sitcom of the last few years.
I'd be extremely happy if David Lynch would make just one more episode of Twin Peaks.
I loved The Sopranos and more would always be welcome but I thought the ending was pretty funny (thinking how a lot of people would be pissed off).
A bullet in the back of the head for the viewer.

Sorry I missed this. He's brilliant as Denholm. He reminds me of a former boss of mine, luckily far more competent but no less hilarious and dramatic. :)

I heard on tv news that an employee on the Charlie Angel's set got fired because he slapped Minka Kelly's butt on the set. Moral of the story: keep hands to yourself at work!
