I'm getting stoked! I have an entire week off work, and I'm taking a bus from NYC wheee. The only problem is I can't really figure out what I'm going to be doing after the show until my bus leaves DC at 5:45 the next morning...also this is an embarrassing number of interpol shows for me in the past year now but WHATEVER

great show. i really had lost faith in the band after the olta tour, but this tour has just been phenomenal. the s/t was ehhh, but at least they're playing all the best songs. i was actually bummed they didn't play barricade, but infinitely more bummed that they didn't play PDA. three years ago i never thought i would hear the new, specialist, and leif erikson at the same show. the band was in a great mood and appreciative of the crowd. the crowd was saturated with douches but thats d.c. the dumbest moment of the night was when these two idiots wormed their way up right behind me and blocked some girls and a short dude, they were justifiably pissed and all this guy could say was "YO bro what the fuck do u expect me to do, this is a concert, we're all here to see the same band." he did that stupid hand groove thing like the jersey shore trolls but quickly mellowed out and seemed sorta embarrassed. GOOD.
all in all this was a great time, and a GREAT performance and close to DREAMLIKE setlist from one of my favorite bands. it's interesting to see what's happening to interpol: the quality of their albums has declined, but their live show keeps getting tighter and tighter. they were ON tonight, like I've never known them before. I've always felt endeared to chubby drunk antics-era paul and the sometimes half-in-the-bag performances, and even though i miss 2005, this show has cemented interpol in my mind as a completely vital and ALIVE band. I wondered if they would make a fifth album after this tour, but now I don't see how they can't. paul and daniel especially seemed very unabashedely happy and appreciative, almost taken aback by the enthusiasm from the crowd. great first time to see them, far beyond what i would have ever expected two-three years ago....Great Job!

I thoroughly enjoyed the show last night. I got there just in time to catch a good ass spot before SVIIB on the first balcony – a huge thanks to the 2 couples on either side who let me get between them up there. Grox, I could not agree more that the setlist was as pretty close to getting ALL your fantasy picks. I mean for real – Leif and Specialist? Together? In one show? WOW! The last time I heard those songs live was way back to 2005. The feel was very intimate and you could really sense you were amongst the hardest of the hardcore fans and we were a pretty awesome crowd if I do say so myself. I got the sense that they indeed felt the love, especially Dan, the hometown boy. The setlist was beyond ridiculous. My only little thing was the pacing. Though not as Indy 500 as the last time I saw them at Radio City, they did kinda speed through the set. But given the circumstances of the awesomeness of the setlist, this is forgiven  ^_^ .
Odd there was no Barricade but Memory Serves? Again, stunning how great they were. I’m so glad I got a chance to see them at the 930 Club again – it was where I first saw them when the Antics tour was ramping up.
I went home immediately after the show so I didn’t get to participate in any goings on afterwards, that is if there were any...?
