Ok .. so I'm a bit back here.
And happy to see people still have interest in Carlos Dengler.
About the video: I like it!
It's not a master piece , ok but it's interesting and clearly a part of his training as a comedian.
Let alone the music, which is quite good. I think:
- he has nice legs (we already knew that but still...)
- I love the beard
- And the goth fishnet is a funny reference to his 'gothtard' years
More seriously, to me he's worked a lot on his facial expressions and I think it was the point in this little film. It's a way to show his range on body and face expression. It's crazy, caricatural, it needs 'polishing' but this was fun to watch!
All this work doesn't surprise me at all.
His was already working on his acting skills, his appearance, his stage persona when he was a member of Interpol. Remember his attitude on stage? The staring, the creepy smiling? The moves?
This was all part of what I loved in his person and I find all this in this film but exagerated, more complete in a way.
To me, all theses tries, his work, is in fact a work on his person, on his psyche. It's part of a process of 'knowing yourself" and I think it's very courageous and wise of him.
Remember his text about Celebrity? Well, if you don't, read it again, you'll find a lot of clues to understand "I will kill you".
To conclude, I still think Carlos Dengler is an artist, and very intelligent man. And intelligence is sexy!
All this evolution is interesting and frankly, I'm happy for him, because he seems to do what he wants, what he needs now. I don't think he was happier in the Antics years, "au contraire"!
Anyway, that's my point of view.

I'm really excited that you feel this way - I feel the same way too! I'm really looking forward to seeing what he does with www.carlosdengleractor.com which is still listed as "Coming Soon" on his website. I think if he can polish his acting and develop it further, he would make an amazing guy to watch perform, especially his body language and powerful presence.
I just want to see more Dengler in action.
