We all know that he played drums in "Things Fall Apart" and "A Darker Shade" from The Rise and Fall of Love and Hate by Oslo and it looks like he did some work for their new album.. :)


"OSLO is a band that knows what hard work means. Independent of any record label, and with a driven attitude that has earned the band fans & friends throughout the US, the band is finally releasing their new two part album after a four year wait. On June 28th, High Mountain Sessions Vol. 1 will see the light of day in advance of national tour dates, as well as the release of a second volume of the High Mountain Sessions later in the fall. OSLO’s emotive and engaging live shows and self-titled, self-produced debut release (2005) garnered significant buzz and coverage from Rolling Stone, Billboard, Music Edge, LA Weekly and the Los Angeles Times, who named them one of the top 10 bands to download in the Fall of 2006.
In 2007 OSLO released The Rise and Fall of Love and Hate, co-produced by Grammy Nominated engineer/mixer Ryan Hewitt (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Mickey P (Beck, Peaches, The Eels). The Rise and Fall of Love and Hate resulted in a publishing deal with SONGS Music Publishing, earning the band further exposure via licensing placements on cable networks, major television shows and independent films.

The High Mountain Sessions were written, recorded & produced by OSLO mainstays Mattia Borrani and Kerry Wayne James, mixed by Mattia Borrani, and mastered by Patrick Brown at Different Fur Studios in San Francisco. The artwork was done by Mattia Borrani as well.
The critical acclaim of both their live shows and their recordings are complimented not only with the band's onstage showmanship but the complexity and depth with which they compose music. Rich in texture, melody and fervor the OSLO sound conveys a layered listening experience that is as intricate as it is intelligent and evocative. The core OSLO team of James & Borrani have always surrounded themselves with friends both in the studio and live, and the upcoming summer dates (to be announced) will be no exception.

Despite their Californian roots, the seven track High Mountain Sessions Vol. 1 has the contemporary sheen of bands like the Arctic Monkeys, Muse, and Placebo, while recalling various UK post punk bands like the Comsat Angels, the Sound, and the Cure in their darker periods. Two tracks off of High Mountain Sessions Vol 1 have gotten some special attention as well — the “Superstar (Andreas Lust Mix)” is the work of Andy Monaghan of Frightened Rabbit, and “Fever (Sam Fog. Mix)” gets a beat-addled reworking from Interpol’s Sam Fogarino.
OSLO is back and ready to win over the hearts and minds of fans both old and new with a musical magic not to be missed."
