Maybe you could all share some of your best recipes. Something that's quick and easy to make, but still tastes good. Sandwiches, salads, desserts,... Anything really. I know about this thing called google, but it's easy to get lost with some many info.
If you have something that's a little harder to prepare but still want to share, please feel free.
Thanks in advance.

But this cooking thread is a good idea because I could use some tips too!
Hendrik, are you going to Leuven or Gent or another university?
Because when you're going to Leuven, the student restaurant Alma is a solution for your problem.
They claim to serve healthy food and it's really not expensive.
After a year of university I'm tired of Alma food though.
en anders moet je hier een keer kijken, een site met simpele maar lekkere recepten!

Leuven :) yeah I know about the Alma, it turned out not to be my thing, hehe
When in Leuven, I usually go to the troubadour or ascoli. da tonio used to be my favourite, but lately the menu seems shortened or something.

Since we have that in the jungle, I'm sure civilized countries might do it as well...
Anyway, whn I get home, I'll look for, translate and post some easy and post recipes. I'm a big fan of quick cousine, after all it's hard to cook with your grandma trying to "give hints" when you know what you are doing...

You need: lettuce, tomatoes, olives, leek, garlic (3-4 cloves), salt, pepper herb (it's pepper plus other spieces. If you haven't it, use your favorite (black,white...)), olive oil (2 spoon) . You cut everything (garlic you must crush) on small pieces and mix. Wait 5-10min. and bon appetit!

I'm gonna try this right now, since I have all the ingredients. Thanks!

We had one, well, a cheap imitation, I told my housemate to clean it. Said housemate, the student who got a 1st, put it in the dishwasher. Idiot.
Anyway, my suggestions:
scramled eggs mixed with tuna and curry powder. toast optional, but i dont recommend this for breakfast.
ginger, orange and banana smoothie. Obviously you need a blender, or smoothie maker, but this really fills me up and really gives you a kick. Ideal for studying.
stuffed peppers. what you stuff them with is left to your imagination.
rice pudding. the best comfort food, bar none. Dont skimp either, go for the Ambrossia.
These are all cheap, easy and quick to make, and also healthy.

Since when was rice pudding healthy? All that cream and milk?
However, I'll give it to you 'cause rice pudding is nice.

Ingredients:
4 teaspoons olive oil
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons chopped, fresh basil
salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper
2 small eggplants
1/2 cup cream cheese, low-fat whipped, or goat cheese
4 pieces of focaccia or other good quality bread, sliced in half, lengthwise
2/3 cup spinach, washed and dried
4 slices of tomato
For the eggplant:
Preheat the grill.
Mix the olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper and 1/2 teaspoon of the basil together. Slice the eggplants lengthwise into 1/2" slices. Brush the slices on both sides with the olive oil mixture.
Grill the eggplant slices until they become soft in the center, about 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
For the sandwiches:
Mix the cheese, the remaining teaspoon of basil, salt and pepper together. Set aside.
Spread 4 halves of bread with the cheese mixture, then top with the spinach or arugula, a slice of tomato and a few slices of eggplant. Place the other half of the bread on top.

Toast ciabatta with mozarella and tomatoes:
-take a couple of slices ciabatta bread and grill them in the oven (200 °C) for about 5 minutes
-take the grilled ciabatta en rubb some garlic on it
-put some mozarella and tomatoes on top together with some olive oil and oregano
-put the ciabatta back under the grill till the mozarella is melted
pasta and vegetables
-cook some pasta, eg farvalle
-veggies: carrot, peppers (yellow, red, green), onion, mushrooms
-take a "wok pan" and put some olive oil in it
-put the veggies in the wok pan and let them steam for about 10 minutes, give it a good stir from time to time
-put some herbs together with the veggies: garlic, basil, a little bit of ginger (if you like), some sea salt (or just the regular salt)
-when the vegetables are ready you take a little bit of concentrated tomato puree and mix it with the vegetables
-then you take the pasta and mix it with the vegetable mix
-let it rest for half an hour
-you can put some cheese on top of the pasta if you like
