I still think it's likely they'll show up for Rock Werchter and Roskilde just prior to the U2 support slots. After all, it'll generate a lot of money and exposure to potential fans. I bought my Werchter ticket two days ago. (Always a good bill, with or without Interpol.)

U2 are doing Glasto so I expect they'll play as well. But then, U2 are playing in the US x day with four days off and are then back, so I suppose depends on if they want to make that absurd trip for the weekend or not. The festival slots are nothing like a proper show though, and just leave me wanting more. Like another five songs plus an encore. Even still, they'd best not clash with anyone epic, say if they play high up a smaller stage or something.

Where did you hear about U2 @ Glasto?
That's stupid, they are missing the best festival weekend in Europe (30th Jun-3rd Jul = Roskilde, Werchter, Open'er) and supporting other band. Nonsense.

Depends. Many of gigs were broadcasted live on MTV (eg. Editors), many replayed (Rise Against, Ellie Goulding), many showed in most (Muse, Rammstein).

I suppose nowhere absolutely officially, but as it was a huge deal they were playing last year until the last minute when Bono was injured, I think it's just generally known that they're playing it this year? I would be very surprised if they didn't play it.

I'd love to go to Primavera too, it's the best line up I've seen in years. But it's in May, I can't take all those days off to work in May, dammit :(
Hoping for some European festivals in August (and for a summer date in Italy as well. Ferrara again? it would be lovely :wub: )

oh DAMN it's SO tempting! I have to keep reminding myself that I'm supposed to be saving money and all that for the summer not in May. -_-

Oh well.. still dreaming that they can do a festival here in Portugal in August.

^I knew you wanted to go, I mean who wouldn't. Interpol, Pulp, PJ Harvey, Grinderman, Low,... even Nosoträsh playing Popemas. I've checked and Interpol are playing on the 25th which is Wednesday and I don't think I could stay there so many days... PJ Harvey is playing on Saturday 28th. It's so tempting I would have to chose and attend maybe 2 days, but I'm not sure yet.

^^ This year chosing the gigs to go at Primavera is gonna be a hard task, as the line-up is beyond amazing. I suppose in the end it'll be herds of people crossed at the festival organization for so many great acts overlapping. To be honest I was hoping Interpol would make it to Primavera Sound, but I had serious doubts that they would, since they did quite a few gigs in Spain, both headlining and supporting U2. So maybe this would mean another European tour leg for mid-May to mid-June, which hopefully would include Spain again. Fingers crossed. :rolleyes:

Interpol is confirmed for Highfield Festival '11 in south of Leipzig, East Germany.
The three day rock event happens from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st August 2011 on a peninsula in an abandoned mining lake called Störmthal Lake at Großpösna. Highfield Festival '11

well this might be a good news!
I'm planning to go to Frequency Festival which take place in Austria from 18th to 20th August and now I'm seriously hoping that Interpol will play there as well. Fingers crossed.
