Barricade Popularity on iTunes

Old-time fans will either have there discography (and only need Barricade)
new fans will "easily" just buy this one teaser to get to know Interpol.
Besides that, it's just an amazing single. It's way catchier (I said catchier, not better people, hold your horses) then Lights.
As far as the OLTA era, I believe Heinrich was offered for free on their website, (Same goes for Lights).
I think iTunes is used by alot of people, to just download a single/song instead of whole albums. This outcome is no suprise for me.

Also, Lights is 5th, beating PDA, NARC, C'mere, and The Heinrich Maneuver. Great job Interpol, hopefully the new album will sell well :)
That is excellent news going by this I wonder how the new album will go in sales  its looking positive for unit sales anyway

I don't think Barricade is that good really.
I find the tune very catchy and way better than HM, but its definitely not my favorite of the 4 new songs I've listened to so far. But again, this time I'm not overplaying the new songs. I just want to make the most of the album experience. So I may change my mind once I get to listen to my physical copy of the album in September

I'm exactly the same, and Interpol have been my favourite band for a little over two years now, so all their songs were new to me at first. Therefore this is the first time I experience a new album too, and i'm over playing insanely, I do TRY to stop, I really do. ;)

yup! same here.... I'm steering clear of all leaks and not listening to the few tracks that have been made available by the band... I want to engulf myself in the new album when it comes out. :)

Good girl ;). Honestly, I hadnt even overplayed the new available songs either (Lights, Barricade, Summer Well and Success) and it was magic when I heard them live the other day in Chicago. I knew them enough to recognise them, but not being 100% familiar with them (yet) made me enjoy them even more
