It feels like Thursday b/c I'm only working 2 days this week. Next week, I'll work 2 days maybe 2 1/2 but it'll be uber quiet and slow. Gotta love the end of the year

Ahhhh yea-ah..... I was getting tired of the cold. I live in South Central Texas, and there's a reason for it, mild winters....

I always bitch about the warm/mildly warm winters in Texas but I'm actually glad they're back.
I was getting annoyed at the cold and having to wear big jackets and whatnot. Today I wore a cute tank top and an
awesome maroon cardigan. I'm glad for the sun again! ^_^

Bought some high thread count sheets, pillow cases, brand new super fluffy pillows, and an enormous velvety soft pink blanket... can I just say that was the best money I've spent in a while? I'm all about improving the quality of one of my favorite things to do... sleep. <3

Getting ready for mom to arrive tomorrow, this christmas we won't be getting much as money is tight but I really look forward to quality family time.

Quality family time is key this time of year b/c man it's gotten out of control these days...

I'm looking fwd to going to a few films w/ my mom and having cocktails poolside. I wish my brother was coming up for the holiday...but then again then we would bicker and I would get pissy...ahhhh family.

When I got off the plane Monday to the cold here in SA, I got depressed b/c Florida was great for Christmas.

Work is totally dead and I have done all my end of month/year stuff. Here's to hoping the boss says 'take tomorrow off. have an extra long weekend since your mom is visiting'

Same here sista! I have tomorrow and new years off which is really sweeeet!

And much needed, though I was able to somehow manage 5 days off in a row here when my mother visited for the holidays! And it was so lovely, having her here and all of us together. She's doing so much better and that in itself was a major gift. Also the way she connected with my significant other... they really hit it off wonderfully.. she even fell in love with Echo & the bunnymen after listening to them on the drive from the airport, so that was Couirey's gift to her for christmas ( a few cd's). :wub:
I'm also happy that I got all her old recordings of her music (even some rare with my dad on drums) on cd FINALLY! as well as some ancient family costume jewels belonging to my great grandmother that I absolutely cherish.
