I'm sorry to be a pain in the ass but can I just remind you that this thread is mainly for questions or technical issues you may experience with this new IP version, and of course for suggestions . Its not about the layout which once again is UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Before saying this looks like shit or this is awesome, can we just wait till the layout is done, and then maybe give your opinion or constructively complain about it then? there is really no point in keeping saying this looks awful as we all have eyes and we can see it is at the moment. we're really trying to do our best so can we at least be a little grateful? this upgrade needed to be done for technical reasons, the layout is secondary. suggestions are more than welcome, but please no more THIS IS SHIT! thank you

Of course no one realizes how ridiculous they sound complaining about the look of a forum under construction, and personally I don't think Ely, Tercat or any of us need to explain anything further... Shows a great deal of maturity to go bashing a forum that is in a transitional stage... so no ones butthurt that some of you wanna act like dipshits just for the sake of it... which is honestly predictable. I am grateful we're upgrading this forum, the old version was from like 2004!

And personally I think opening up this thread was a bad idea...no one's going to use this thread constructively at this time and this is better than the board being offline indefinitely while under construction.

I completely disagree. I think the new features are great but it went from a very readable albeit boring format, to something almost unreadable. There can be a balance between "Under Construction" and actually being able to read the damn thing. Try and find that balance.

this was the old website http://web.archive.o...forum/index.php which wasnt IP. the new one is not going to look like that but something similar. The white background is boring. I realise the black may be harsh to read. I guess grey would be a compromise.

Anyway, in this case I'd use the Italian saying "It was better when it was worse" ehehehe. I can see some light in that old version, and the last one was very readable, like SlowlyChoking said.

I know, but my point is that with the poll you'd have a factual reason to tell people to shut up and accept the new board!

As a side note- doesn't a dark page take longer to load (meaning it's heavier)? Did I get that wrong?

OK, as you dont seem to have got the message that we're still working on the layout and you keep complaining while we are STILL working on things, I guess we should temporarily close this thread. We are busy working on the site, so why should we waste our time constantly replying to your complaints on here when we should use our energy working on the Admin Control Panel instead?

As I said, we're testing layouts and you'll see constant changes over the next few days. We do apologise about that. Please before thinking this is cool, this is shit, just wait till everything is done, OK? only then, we may reopen this thread as there is really no point in discussing on a work in progress apparently

At the moment the priority is to make this board functional and get you familiar with the new features etc...so of course should you have any questions or TECHNICAL issues please contact us
