Haha I was just kiddin. And your right, some people might not like it, but most of those people made their mind up alright. I have no idear how much access you got, but it must feel like a pain in the ass to have the feeling your responsible that's upgrading and not having certainties about things.
Anyways, I think it looks alright, and i'm quite happy with it so far : - )

Yeah... I mean, at this point we're thrilled to be able to finally fix things up, but the process will be a little frustrating because, while we can make changes, our tools are somewhat limited.

In my real-life job I feel like I hear this a lot, too. Dark on light is just easier on your eyes over time. But I don't mind the black background, myself.

This is just the default layout of the Invision Power version no 3. We couldnt upgrade it ourselves as we needed money etc, thats why we had to wait for the management to get an IP tech to do it. Now we'll have to work on things, create a new layout, and customise settings etc. But some features are just by default and we wont be able to change them.

I have to agree with SC,the black is a no no.What about green or something not as harsh as black.Only goths would like black.

SC--How constructive. The design is (do I hear an echo?) NOT FINAL. No one was ever HIRED to do this. It's nobody's full time job, so it's going to take a little while to smooth things out. Even then, you might not like it. Oh well. Life's rough. Just add it to the long list of things you think suck.

Well as I said there is a reason for the black-white-red thing. We could play around with those 3 colours and come up with something different though.We just thought you'd like the black background as it was similar to the old site you all seemed to miss

it does look awful around here. i'm not happy with it! the pictures stick out way to bright because of the black background. it pains the eyes. plus it looks really stretched. it looks even worse than facebook, and that was hard to beat... and the frame around the emoticons is really disturbing as well. <_<
