As you can tell ( unless you clearly should've gone to specsavers), the board is being updated.

Please take some time to familiarise with the basic functions again before asking for help. There is a help section avaliable by clicking on 'Help' in the top right hand corner of the board. The board is essentially the same as before with some upgraded features.

However, if there are any glitches or problems which you do not seem to be able to fix, or seem down the the board itself, please notify adminstration, or post here.


Skins will be coming soon( We all have waited long enough, I know.)The board is STILL under construction and may take some time, so your patience is appreciated.

I noticed that too and we're trying to fix it. Please guys bear in mind that the site is still under construction so bear with us a few days before "bombarding" us with questions ;) as a lot of changes are being made as we type

Luca, just to make sure I understand what you're asking--would this give you different information from what you get when you click the View New Content button?

Kaz, there's nothing that says you have to use those features. The updated forum is going to run much more smoothly--certainly on our end, and I think for all users. We should be able to fix any problems much more readily, and we're going to get the long-awaited new skin.

And when do you ever like something Kaziu, huh? you mean you dont like the network thingy on the profile or the new layout... if its the latter, as we've said more than once this is not the definitive and we're still working on it!Just we didnt want to keep the board offline for too long

I see what you mean but we checked and it doesnt seem to be possible though we're still working on it. Some features are just set by default by the IP version 3 and cant be changed. that might be one of them, but if we can edit it, we will. As tercat said the New Content feature may not be as accessible but it still does the same thing, no? we wont give up though, Luca

Sorry. I didnt mean to be rough. I was just telling you again that we're still working on the layout. Having said that, I'm sure not everybody will be pleased with the final result as we all have different tastes!!! But bear in mind this upgrade was necessary as the old version was falling apart (for instance people couldnt register anymore unless they contacted us and we entered their accounts details manually)
This is just the default layout of the Invision Power version no 3. We couldnt upgrade it ourselves as we needed money etc, thats why we had to wait for the management to get an IP tech to do it. Now we'll have to work on things, create a new layout, and customise settings etc. But some features are just by default and we wont be able to change them.
I hope this clarifies everything

When I saw this yesterday, I laughed.

I'm digging the black on the board itself, but not digging the black when I go to compose. HOWEVER, I know I will get used to it and it'll be fine.

It's just a matter of familiarizing myself w/ the navigation etc... Next week all will be koser :P

The black background is just a test . we need to try different things so you may see the board changing every now and then but just for a bit till we find the right layout.

So basically your running more layouts, and in the end it will be like some "Interpol's Next Top Layout", just picking the right one?
And does our opinion about the layout count aswel? I want hotpink please.

First of all, as I said we cant do miracles. the IP is configured in a certain way by default and some things cant be changed. Moreover as I said, we are limited as we dont have access to the Invision boards as we should have.
Obviously we'll try to listen to people opinions and tips...but you know its impossible to make everybody happy, so I'm afraid we wont be able to try all the possible layouts and make you vote if its what you meant. as nice as it'd be, its pretty impossible. sorry
However we may keep the black background for a while. we should work on it more over the weekends....when we are off from our "real" jobs ;)
