I love H .. it's one of my favorite tracks of the album .. probably the 3rd :) .. after On the esplenade and Fly as you might.
This song for me expresses a kind of inner restlessness, a feeling, something that just can't be explained with lyrics .
Like me much strumental songs and i think that rearranged with the orchestra this song it would be spectacular!

H is immense. JP should collaborate, maybe with Sylvian or Sakamoto. This deserves some conceptual extension.

That's a great song, along with many others from this album. And I registered just to say that, I'm not even a fan of Interpol! I even had some trouble answering the challenge question from the registration process: "Who is the drummer in Interpol?". And I must say I liked Julian Plenti's album so much, that I decided to give Interpol a second listen. Well, they sound quite different from each other, but still a good band.

Thank you so much for posting. I'd been wondering whether or not there were Julian Plenti's fans who werent necessarily Interpol fans. I hope you can properly get into them too.
When I first listened to Turn on the bright lights I wasnt very impressed myself and I had to give it quite a few listens before falling totally in love with them. I still suggest you should try with that one first, though Antics and OLTA could be more immediate

H is a take it or leave it song for me. For some reason I've always felt like it would be a nice intro to On the Esplanade. As a standalone track it just doesn't feel complete to me.

I had a feeling this was Buddhist chanting, so I did some searching on YouTube and found this: http://www.youtube.c...feature=related . Pretty close.

It even has the same lyrics in it... In the video the monks start chanting the same words that are being sung in H (at 1:31) at 0:41.

Oh, and btw, I love H. It's just a great closing song. Somehow gives me the idea of a sad end and a happy beginning at the same time.

I love this track, especially the gorgeous melody of the last few seconds.

Now, this is what I call a late reply!

It's just.. when I was reading through the forum and found this, thought it would be worthy to say I've been quite a lot into TOTBL lately. And all thanks to my rediscovering of Interpol via Julian Plenti.

AND, I can't sleep. http://www.interpolnyc.com/forum/public/style_extra/post_icons/icon6.gif
