I suppose H is sort of like the 'Lighthouse' of Is... Skyscraper. Most unexpected (for me) but a real great song (imo anyway). Anybody have any idea what those lyrics are though? Punjabi of some sort? I don't have a clue. A translation would be great.
I do have one big gripe with this song though as I've mentioned on another thread a few times - the song ends WAY too soon! Personally, if the song had another 2 and a half mins or so of what it seemed to be building up to, it would easily be the best song on the album for me. I absolutely love the instrumental part, and it just ends so damn abruptly. Really dissapointing if I'm honest.
So, what do you guys and gals think?

I agree. I also find the piano line slightly annoying and the song didn't catch me the way some of the others did. But it's not too bad; it sounds like an album-ender, at least. It's just not one of my favourites.

I thought it worked well as background music for that short clip on JP's website though. Sounds like 'incidental music' somehow.

Perhaps it's an elegy to the Autotune craze that's been sweeping seemingly all genres of music these days (thank T-Pain for that). Clearly Paul is a fan of backwards masking; it sounds like he's singing backwards ala the end of Wrecking Ball.

hee hee - thanks! I actually found it surprisingly quickly. I searched YouTube for Buddhist chant, and one of the first vids to pop up was this same monk in another video. The vocal timbre and melodic line were very similar to the sample in "H", so I went searching for more vids featuring this monk, and voila! I like his backup crew. The guy on the right is totally into it - chanting along - and the guy on the left looks like he's falling asleep.

Your guess is as good as mine.
haha There is always someone stating that his lyrics relate to heroin. (Remember all the skepticism regarding "Evil". Drugs drugs drugs... or not.)
Anyway, the song felt out of place to me. Maybe even lazy, perhaps. I like it, but.... hmph. Yes, "Lighthouse." haha
(This made zero sense, really.)
