I could see him being kind of quirky and amusing in that sense (he has that sort of quality, especially when he jokes in interviews), but serious-acting, nooooo

I just got the DVD yesterday and got around to watching the film. His acting isn't too bad, he plays a character named Rooks who has a plan to put himself back on track to become an art historian. The woman who plays Belle didn't seem as believable. The man who plays Stanley does well, he kept asking in a scene "Don't you know who she is?" (referring to Belle). This (her position) never really gets explained, but scenes at the end can lead you to make your own conclusions (the scene where he shoves her on the bed and drags her from an alley and into a room).

The movie has a lot of jump cuts. The only thing that annoyed me was the sound. In the car scenes the sound isn't as clear and the background noise wasn't really filtered out.

I did enjoy the opening scene where Carlos (Rooks) is going on a tangent about how someone described I Claudius the III as Romanesque and how Roman and Romanesque are different just like Victorian and Victorianesque. It seemed believable that he would complain about something like that in real life.

Oh, and there's a line about how his mustache is silly in the movie too.

My thoughts exactly. There isn't any dialogue. From the outside looking in, it's not so great. BUT, I have high hopes that the film will be alright. ^_^

Still almost any role Crsipin Glover played could be pretty funny if you imagined Mr D in it. Some are a given, Willard, but anything could probably be remade with him and look good.
