That Invision Powerboard logo combined with the horrible blue bars do not make an attractive couple.

I think it crashed awhile back and they were too lazy to make a new one.

why not design your own and have them use it, if they're too lazy?

I'm finding the blue to be quite invigorating. Like sky and water.

I like that the forum is plain colors, makes it less conspicuous and therefore easier to be on here while at work.

Remember when this forum used to have freaking activity? It couldn't possibly be in a sadder state than current.

Tis a banner: 'Invision', like Turnin On the Bright Lights, like Intics, and like Our Lovin to Admire of course!

Ain't that the truth.
I remember when I had this MB open all day long and popped in non stop. Now I hop in 10-15 min and I'm gone.... ::runs away and cries::

It's all kind of related, I think. When there was more going on here, the powers that be paid more attention to the forum (so we had more resources and control), and vice versa. Maybe if the band were doing something, both of these issues would be resolved.

Hey, a six plus year run is still pretty good, right? I'm currently celebrating my sixth anniversary, and I'm pretty sure the board was around for at least half a year before I arrived...

Anyway, the personnel has always fluctuated to a pretty great degree around here... I think the lack of activity is more a reflection of Interpol being "discovered" by fewer people everyday. New things always inspire more rabid fandom than the old guard will.

That being said, I bet a new banner will emerge... one day.

Guys, we are really working on it and other technical issues as well but the problem is that any update needs money or a password we dont have access to anymore. We are in touch with the management and they promised us they are working on it. So, lets be optimistic for once!!

haha Yeah, as much as I would like a better banner, I think I have to agree with you. It's nice to be able to hang around here when I should be doing more responsible things without saying, "Hey, I see that flashy banner. You're goofing off, aren't you?!"

I really don't think having more members/acitivity is a major issue. Even with the burst of energy that came with OLTA, the banner hasn't changed. It's remained the same sad blue since I joined in what? 2006?

So we have a banner now, but at what cost?

I'm noticing some selection errors on the band name in the banner. C'mon guys, lets try to be professional here.

I'm assuming you're talking about the letters P and O. That was the band name logo on OLTA and its also the one used on the new website frontpage. But I guess if you were referring to that, you were just making a joke....

I was half being a dick, half commenting on what seem to be some scaling issues. I preferred the Antics font myself, though I'm sure you should probably go with whatever font the upcoming album will use. You might want to try to find out about that.

If I have to be utterly honest I do prefer the Antics font too...but it seemed too nostalgic and out of date to leave it in the banner. The new frontpage suggests they may be going to use Avantgarde Gothic Bold for the new album artwork as well. But we'll just have to wait and see
