I have a long list but the first bands/singers that have come to my mind are:

PAVEMENT as back then I was too retarded to like them the way I do now. thank god Mr Malkmus is still around

NIRVANA as I fell ill when they came to my hometown and I had to give a friend my ticket, then Kurt had that bright idea...

SUEDE, but I saw Brett Anderson and he played a few Suede songs

SIOUXSIE and THE BANSHEES

and among the ones I havent' had the chance to see yet XIU-XIU and YEAH YEAH YEAHS

oh and DAVID BOWIE...

Go by yourself GOWS! I go to shows by myself all the time. If you really like this band, you'll definitely regret it if you keep missing 'em.

The Fugees

Jane's Addiction

The Four Tops, The O'Jays, Jerry Butler, The Ronettes, and tons of other groups and singers that existed before I was alive. :D

The cure came to KC a few weeks ago and I was supposedly getting a free ticket according to my best friend's mom.
LIES.

I do exactly the same. the only problem is when I want to be in the front row and I need someone to keep my place while I go to the loo!!

Here's 25 bands I would've loved to have seen - especially in their heyday:

1. The Clash
2. Joy Division
3. The Damned (original lineup)
4. The Cramps
5. The Ramones
6. The Left Banke
7. The Smiths
8. Ride
9. Slowdive
10. Swervedriver (going in 2 weeks)
11. My Bloody Valentine (going to NYC show)
12. Comsat Angels
13. The Sound
14. For Against (please - this summer, NYC!)
15. The Replacements
16. Husker Du
17. The The
18. Gary Numan ('79)
19. Adorable
20. The Kinks
21. The Wipers
22. Ennio Morricone (I'm still bummed I missed him at Radio City :( )
23. The Shadows (The DVD of their final tour helps ease the pain)
24. Johnny Cash
25. Catherine Wheel (a reunion would seem feasible in the coming years and they probably wouldn't miss a beat)

Agree! Tim and Let It Be are such amazing albums. And Kiss Me on the Bus is probably one of the most romantical song ever.

Nick Cave used to be on the top of this list, but I saw him play about a month ago, so I can now die happy. The remaining others I can think of...

Tom Waits (he rarely tours and never in the right places)

Slowdive (I was born the wrong time)

My Bloody Valentine (less than a month left to wait, though)

A Place To Bury Strangers (I moved out of the country when they finally did a US tour, and when they came to the UK another band was playing the same day.)

Love And Rockets

I miss shows all the time due to the fact that ticketmaster fails me and I refuse to pay outrageous prices. Having said that, I have seen most of the bands that I like.

I'm sure you'll get the chance to see them. The band I manage (The Lost Patrol) were supposed to play with them at Asbury Lanes for the Wave Gathering last summer, but the bookers ended up bumping our sets to the other side of town in a crappier venue at some ridiculously early time slot. We were both pissed off and backed out of the festival. Quite frankly APTBS and TLP were the only good bands at the fest - the rest were all whiny Jack Johnson girly girl singer songwriter hump nozzles.

^ Yeah, I'm sure I will. It's just that I've been a fan of Skywave (the singer's previous band) for quite a while, and when I found out he was now in APTBS, who sound rather similar, I was so anxious to see them. I kept looking out for new tour dates at that time, but naturally they were only playing in NY. But someday....

Wished I'd been born 20 years earlier.

Missed these 2 bands when they played at the Mosaic Music Festival because I couldn't find anyone to go with:
Kings Of Convenience in 2006
Yo La Tengo last year

To be honest, I have never been to a real show. So I just put my top bands as, "missed."
