I am sure we have all looked at the band playing live and envied their talent. The atmosphere they are able to create is just unreal at their live performances.

So, assuming we all have the ability to play either guitar, bass or drums as well as Paul, Sam, Carlos and Daniel do, if you had the chance to play one song live to an audience;

1. Which song would you want to play?
2. Which band member would you most like to be?
3. Where would you be?

I think for me I would have to choose to play PDA, right at the end of a festival at night (probably Glastonbury - far fetched I know). I would have to play Paul's part and obviously sing. I would do this just because you could stand there and think; I wrote this unbelievably brilliant song, and how fuckin good does my voice sound :P

Why you ask? Because I love to sing/YELL 'Stella I love you'. I can't really sing, so I'd just sing along with Paul and dance like a maniac. I'm glad this is really not a possibility because I'd humiliate myself tremendously.

i think i would play obstacle 1 because its my favourite interpol song to hear live. do i have to get rid of a member? i was gonna say paul because i can play his bit but i realised i can't sing. maybe he could just sing and i'll play his bit. that way they're all there and everybody wins.

what i mean is i wouldn't want to be a one of the members because if im not one they will all still be there. and i think manchester club academy would be a good small gig

Sounds pretty good. Not Even Jail would be my next choice after PDA. Paul's riff at the end of the song is amazing. Good to hear Leeds over Reading!! :P

I would wanna be Paul. I can't sing OR play any of the instruments (though I will learn one day) but hypothetically I'd wanna be the one with the lyrics. I would want it to be one of my favourite songs (so prob Ob 1, Leif or Specialist). If it were Leif or Specialist I would want it to be somewhere really small, dark, intimate, maybe underground, so everything echoed around; I think these songs have two of the most 'confessional' lyrics so it's suited. (Like the other person said about the dark seedy venue) If on the other hand I were doing Obstacle 1, I would want to be on some rooftop somewhere in the middle of a city, SCREAMING along, so everyone walking around stopped and were like "wtf is that?" Preferably just as it got dark or at sunset.
