Hey everyone. I'm erika, 27, from Wilmington, Ca.

How long have you been a fan of Interpol???

I've been listening to Interpol since 2003. It all started when I was laying in bed at midnight..I was listening to the radio when PDA came on. When the intro to PDA was playing, I seriously thought it was the psychedelic furs..and then paul starts singing and I was blown away. I grabbed a pen and paper next to my bed and I wrote down the band and the title of the song. The next day, I went to my local record store, purchased Turn on the bright lights. I then fell in love :) I've been a fan since.

Hey Cue, I'm from the South Bay, too! Gardena to be exact ^_^

Anyhoo, technically I've been a fan since 2004 with Antics, but I had heard about them when Bright Lights came out.

End of summer '02. It was the video for PDA that did it for me.

^^^ You on the BRMC forum? I think I've seen you on my friend's friend list thing.

I think it was late 2003 when I heard Obstacle 1 in the Girl video Yeah Right!. I thought it was the shit so I downloaded more mp3's and began listening to them nearly everyday.

I've been a fan ever since I heard Obstacle 1 from a classmate's (who's now one of my best friends) cd player.
That was in 7th grade.
I'm in 11th grade now sooo...2003?
around that time

Sadly, I've only been into them since January of this year.

I'd heard about them years ago in college. I was curious, so I asked a friend about them. He told me they were hardcore, so I never even bothered to listen. (what's up, close-mindedness) Come to find out later he had never listened to them, either. He just guessed when telling me.

Fast forward to this past January, I was playing around on a friend's iTunes, they came on shuffle and I instantly loved them. I had never fallen in love with another band's music as quickly as I did with theirs. I then went out and bought Bright Lights and Antics and played them over and over and over. (but not before kicking myself for having been deprived of them for so many years).

A word to the wise, kiddies: never listen to a stoner friend when they dish out music advice. Well, never take advice from a stoner friend to begin with, but that's beside the point...

Must've been since 2002 - heard first song I heard properly was 'Specialist' on an NME (*vomit*) compilation album and then got into them from there. I only liked them at that point, but I remember watching 'Friends' and hearing 'Untitled' at the end of one of the series (not knowing it was them) and adored the tune. After purchasing 'Turn On The Bright Lights', I found that it was indeed Interpol and instantly fell in love.

Enjoyed Evil and Slow Hands on their UK releases, didn't act upon this until September 2006.

My inspiration was that my best friend became creepily obsessed with them, so I checked out Antics, really liked it, then got TOTBL a month later. Untitled + Obstacle 1 blew me away, then PDA did.

I am a pre-OLTA fan.

My brother played the first half of Turn on the Bright Lights in my Dad's car on the way to a relatives, back in 2003/04, we kept on playing it every time we took a ride in the car, but my Dad never let the album play past PDA because he didn't know the other songs.

I then finally got my hands on the album, and here I am now. :)

The first song I heard was Slow Hands in 2006. It was in june I think, and the summer holidays were coming soon. My geography teacher played some of his cd's in class. Thank God he did.

Heard 'PDA' on London's XFM in December 2000. They played it often.

I heard from them through a message board in 2003 when they were opening for Placebo in France. A friend of mine sent me PDA and NYC via msn (took me 2 hours to d/l them, I had a very slow connexion at this time), I thought the voice was terrible  so I deleted them immediately <_<
Then in 2004, another friend of mine told me about them when Antics was released. She made me bought it. I fell in love with it. and then I bought TOTBL, fell in love even more, and I became a real fan in early 2005 I guess.

First post - woohoo - hello everyone!!

I've been a fan since early 2005 when I heard Evil on the radio in a petrol station. I bought Antics soon after and loved it. Got TOTBL six months later and was even more impressed. By far my favourite band...

After I saw the video for PDA on MTV in 2002 or 2003. I went out to buy TOTBL immediately but it wasn't released in Belgium yet at that time.

Since 2005, when a friend gave me a copy of Antics. I first heard about them in 2003, when I saw the video for "NYC" on a local music TV show. But I hated that song.

I've only been a fan of theirs since April, but a lot has changed in 7 months.

I had heard of them for a while, thanks to "Slow hands" but was really skeptical of listening to more of their songs, I don't know why. Then one night, my friend bombarded me with Interpol tracks and I began to listen to them. The first one was Evil and I got hooked to it quickly. Then, I got hooked to Narc, then C'mere ,then Specialist and it went on from there. I became a huge fan by September when I saw them at V-fest Toronto. Now seeing the quality of their performances, that did it for me and that's when I joined here :P

Only since early 2005, when the Evil video came on after something I was watching on yahoo music. Before then I'd never heard of them
