I will be there! Not sure who I'm taking with me yet. Despite my best efforts I have been unable to convert any friends or family to be fans of the band.

I have seats in the pit, which should be quite close to the stage - on Daniel's side ^_^

I'll be there with my two brothers and sister-in-law. I haven't seen them before so I'm quite excited.

I am still debating whether or not to go. The 24th is my sister's birthday & I wanted to give her the best birthday present ever. We have relatives that reside out there, but I would be flying from Vegas & she would fly from Kansas. We'll see . . . fingers are crossed!

Are there any others going to Pittsburgh? Seems like there are longer threads for some of the other East Coast shows (like Borgata - wow!)

I am not too familiar with the venue in Pitt (Byham) but it looks good to me. Borgata would have been closer for me but I had a conflict with that date.

I wonder if there will be more interest once the album is released? It doesn't seem as though the Pitt show has sold out yet and most of Interpol's shows seem to. :D

I'm not sure, but is it an all-seat show? That is what it looks like.

It is reserved seating and I think all that is left is the back upper level (gallery). I'm curious as to whether people stay seated (I don't plan to unless security makes me). My seats are in the pit, so I was planning to go up closer to the stage.

Going to an Interpol show is not really a sit down kind of event to me. I do like having reserved seats so I don't have to worry about where I'll be. Especially with traveling, I don't want to have to go too early.

They've got some interesting info and seating chart on the site.

Hmmm... so even if someone gets a pit seat, they can still get up and move to the front? Are you sure? Because then, I might make the trip.

No, sorry I'm not sure. I wish I knew for certain. I already have my seats so I figure I'll just try it and see what happens  . I have not been inside the Byham Theater before, but it does not look that big from the pics and the pit seats seem like they should be right up there near the stage.

It has been a few years since I've traveled to Pittsburgh but I look forward to going back to the cultural district/area.

I've found some orchestra seats for sale at very high prices, and there's no guarantee of getting closer to the stage... so, yep, I think I'll pass up on this one.

Please let us know how it goes for you though, Ev~, I'll be curious to hear about this gig.

Yeah, I could see it going several ways with the seating. Pittsburgh was the only mid-Atlantic date that worked for me and I like Pittsburgh in the summer (would not try it in the winter), so I'm looking forward to it. ^_^ It was either Byham Theater or no Interpol shows for me this summer.

Hey, did you guys get seats close up or far away in the gallery?

Yea I know what you mean the tickets up close in the orchestra section were like $150-300, quite expensive.....the cheapest are the gallery tickets which sell for 30 bucks or something around those prices...im not sure if I should buy those, as long as I get to hear them live I suppose..

Yes, the seats up close are expensive. I'd rather have more money go to the band/venue and not some scalpers pocket, but oh well. I'm driving from Maryland - I want to be sure I can see them well!

It looks like it is about $82 for 2 seats in the gallery (with fees). I wonder how fast those last gallery seats will go? I bet it will sell out by the time the album comes out.

The Byham is really a great venue to see a band like Interpol, really no better place in Pittsburgh. I saw Sigur Ros there back in 2003 and it was truly amazing.

That's good to hear! I hope the crowd will be into it. I thought the venue would have sold out by now, but there are still some seats available (not like Borgata!)

I'm thrilled that it will not be long now until July 24th gets here :D

I'm not sure where this kind of post should go (put it in tickets also)...

I am looking for someone who can use 1 ticket for Pittsburgh. I am having a difficult time finding someone who is able to go to this show. I did not realize going to a mid-week show would be so difficult for people I know.

My sister is available to go along (has a flexible schedule), but she is so bored at Interpol shows (blasphemy!). I took her to a Baltimore show in 2005. I loved it, she did not and I do not want to "torture" her plus it seems like a waste of a good ticket.

Please send me a PM if you are interested and want more details. Thanks!

Oh how I wish I could go. I have family there, and they asked if I wanted a ticket. I almost said yes, but it would be a lot of running around. SIGH.

I have family out in Pittsburgh, so I figured what the heck, I'll make the trip. Also, when I bought my tickets Pitt was the only show I could make. I'm also going to Philly now, which is a closer drive for me but I still don't want to give up seeing them in Pittsburgh. Even if my friends, acquaintances, people on the street are not available to go. Work? Class? Who needs that stuff when you can see Interpol? Ha ha
