I'm really enjoying my book right now- Winter's Tale. The first chapter was told from the point of view of a horse running from Brooklyn to Manhattan. http://www.interpolnyc.com/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/happy.gif A friend, who is also reading it (book club!!) described it as part Gangs of New York, part Great Expectations, and part Love in the Time of Cholera.

Most recent book I finished reading was Pink Flag by Wilson Neate. It's about the band Wire and the album and is part of the 33 1/3 series. Anyone interested in the band or album specifically should definitely read.
I love early Wire ridiculously and I have been meaning to get that for a while. I love the 33 1/3 series. I recently read Bryan Charles book on Wowee Zowee

I'm in the middle of a few things, but I'm most actively reading The Best of Everything by Rona Jaffe. It was a major influence on the Mad Men series, and it's a little bit of a soap opera... a tad tawdry and melodramatic and 1950s (it's set a little under a decade earlier than Mad Men). But it's enjoyable.

I bought these books at the airport because I was waiting for my flight and they are supposed to be for kids but I had fun reading them :
Diary of a wimpy kid by Jeff Kinney and from the same author Diary of a wimpy kid Rodrick rules
There are 5 of them I guess but I couldn't buy more than two to suit in my luggage!
